Job Description

As our Technology and Operations Strategy and Planning Lead, you are the driving force behind technology portfolio management and governance across North America, shaping how work is planned, tracked, and governed to bring clarity, consistency, and control to the portfolio. Partnering with Finance and functional leaders, you lead strategic and annual planning end to end, translating strategic priorities into multiyear technology roadmaps aligned to capital plans and enterprise architecture direction. We will look to you to serve as one of our subject matter experts on Clarity, driving adoption, strengthening reporting, and identifying areas for enhancement in tool utilization. You also play a key role in designing and implementing governance frameworks, including clear escalation paths, that bring greater rigor, discipline, and consistency to portfolio management across North America. In partnership with our reporting and analytics team, you deliver leadership level reporting and dashboards that give stakeholders an accurate, current view of portfolio health, while overseeing vendor and contractor governance and budget tracking against capital targets. By leading the team that supports these functions, you turn strategy into disciplined execution, bringing greater transparency, control, and accountability to the portfolio while delivering meaningful business results.

In this role, you will:

  • Co-lead the strategic planning and annual planning processes end to end, including timeline, stakeholder coordination, process design, consolidation into a single North America plan, and adherence to deadlines and standards in partnership with Finance
  • Align functional and technology leaders across North America to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, plans, and prioritized program sequencing for annual planning and multiyear roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain multiyear technology roadmaps across major North America business lines, aligning initiatives with strategic priorities, capital plans, and enterprise architecture
  • Monitor roadmap execution against milestones, capital targets, and governance checkpoints, flagging risks, resourcing gaps, and misalignment early
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio management and governance questions, escalations, and requests across North America
  • Design, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, change control processes, escalation paths, and recurring governance reviews to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, current, and aligned to investment size and risk
  • Track actual spend against approved capital targets across the portfolio and support capital target setting and reforecasting cycles in partnership with Finance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Clarity for NA technology, owning data quality reviews, reporting, adoption, and identification of process enhancements to streamline strategic planning, annual planning, and governance
  • Develop leadership level dashboards, portfolio reporting, analysis, and briefing materials for planning cycles, reviews, and QBRs in partnership with functional leads, PMO functions, and technology leadership
  • Oversee vendor and contractor governance across the portfolio
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team supporting portfolio management, planning, and governance activities
  • 8+ years of experience in technology portfolio management, PMO, or portfolio governance, with at least 2 to 3 years in a leadership or team management capacity.
  • 8+ year of experience in in capital and operating budget management, including experience tracking spend against targets, supporting forecasting and reforecasting cycles, and partnering with Finance on planning processes
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Clarity or other PPM tools, including data standards, hygiene, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing portfolio frameworks; not just operating within them
  • Experience leading or coordinating an annual planning process across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and drive them to resolution
  • Sound judgment on when to escalate versus resolve independently
  • Effective written and verbal communication for cross-functional coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
