Required:

  • Extensive experience and expertise with teaching MYP Music in grades 6 - 10.
  • A recognised degree in teaching Music from a reputable university.
  • Experience teaching a range of instruments and/or leading choir practices.
  • Proven experience with the IB Middles Years Programme.
  • Experience of working successfully in a multicultural environment.

The position

MYP Music teacher, part-time (approximately 75 percent)

  • The successful candidate will be a talented, enthusiastic educator for students in grade 6 to 10 with and have extensive previous experience teaching students in the IB Middle Years Programme. Experience with placement, assessment and tracking students’ progress is essential.
  • The role is expected to be 75% of a full-time teaching load, i.e. the equivalent of 15 lessons of 60 minutes out of a maximum load of 20 lessons per week.
