We are looking for a skilled and committed Teacher of Mathematics to join our secondary team, with the ability to teach across both the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (DP). Reporting to the Head of Mathematics and the Assistant Head of Secondary, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that develop students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.

You will take responsibility for planning and assessment across your classes, contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics curriculum, and act as Form Tutor for a group of secondary students. This is a role for someone who brings real subject expertise, a thoughtful approach to teaching, and a genuine interest in the progress of every learner.

Learning and teaching

• Teach Mathematics across IB MYP and DP, delivering lessons that are engaging, well-structured and appropriately challenging
• Apply differentiated teaching strategies to meet the range of learning needs within secondary classes
• Promote problem-solving, mathematical reasoning and design thinking as core skills across all ability levels
• Integrate digital tools and ICT effectively into teaching and learning
• Maintain high standards for student achievement, progress and classroom conduct
• Create an inclusive, safe and stimulating classroom environment

Planning, assessment and curriculum

• Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with IB curriculum requirements and school policy
• Produce short, medium and long-term plans aligned to curriculum objectives
• Use rigorous, data-informed assessment to provide timely and effective feedback to students
• Contribute to curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects and enrichment activities within the Mathematics faculty

School community and professional development

• Act as Form Tutor and support the pastoral and academic development of your tutor group
• Foster strong relationships with parents through high-quality reporting and timely communication
• Contribute to school events, co-curricular activities and the wider life of the school
• Engage in reflective practice and take initiative in professional learning
• Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty and the wider school community

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
• Recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE, HDipEd or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
• Ability to teach IB MYP and IB Diploma Programme Mathematics
• Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to make complex topics accessible to adolescent learners
• Effective classroom management skills suited to the secondary age range
• Strong communication skills for teaching, mentoring and engaging with parents
• Competence in using technology and digital tools to support learning
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and compliance with visa requirements

Desirable

• Experience working in an international school environment
• Familiarity with GCSE or IGCSE Mathematics in addition to IB programmes
• Experience contributing to curriculum design, enrichment or co-curricular activities
