Job Description

We are working closely with local authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a My Space Intervention Worker, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £16.87- £22.18 per hour

The My Space Intervention Worker will contribute to the delivery of high-quality early intervention, safeguarding, and support services for vulnerable children, young people, and families within the Youth Justice Service and MYSPACE & Springboard provision. The role involves undertaking direct intervention work, managing a complex caseload, assessing risk and need, and supporting children and young people facing emotional, behavioural, safeguarding, or social challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families in line with Child in Need, Child Protection, Early Help, Youth Justice, and care planning frameworks.
  • Develop, implement, and review intervention plans, support strategies, assessments, and case records, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date.
  • Support vulnerable young people who may be at risk of exploitation, offending, exclusion, neglect, family breakdown, or poor emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain effective communication in sensitive, challenging, or high-risk situations while supporting children and families through periods of change and intervention.

Essentials

  • Degree or recognised professional qualification in Social Work, Youth Justice, Social Care, Criminology, Psychology, Child Development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families within children's social care, youth justice, early help, safeguarding, or related services.
  • Experience working with children and young people presenting behavioural, emotional, safeguarding, exploitation, offending, or family-related concerns.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, data protection, and equality and diversity principles.
