The Recovery Specialist delivers person-centered, hands-on recovery support to pregnant and postpartum individuals. The Specialist empowers clients to build recovery skills, strengthen motivation, navigate challenges that affect their stability and wellness, and overcome barriers to achieving self-sufficiency. Drawing on lived experience, the Specialist fosters trust, offers hope, and reinforces a foundation for long-term stability. Through this partnership, the Specialist helps promote healthy pregnancies, strengthen family stability, and advance long-term recovery within the community.

Founded in 1971, NADAP is a private nonprofit organization which operates workforce development, case management, care coordination and health insurance enrollment programs in New York City and Nassau County.
