Music Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards, New York, NY

Pay: $25-$26 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking an energetic and creative Music Teacher who loves introducing young children to the joy of music.

You'll create engaging, age-appropriate music experiences for young learners through singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, and interactive activities. This role is perfect for someone who can bring energy into a classroom and make music exciting and accessible for children at every developmental stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging music experiences for young children
• Introduce rhythm, melody, movement, singing, and age-appropriate instruments
• Create interactive music activities for different ages and developmental levels
• Use music and movement to support language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development
• Encourage creativity, participation, self-expression, and confidence
• Incorporate music into classroom themes and learning experiences
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and center leadership
• Prepare and organize materials and instruments for activities
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and inclusive learning environment
• Follow applicable New York City childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Music background, training, or relevant experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience teaching music or working with children preferred
• Comfortable singing, leading movement, and engaging groups of young children
• Experience with musical instruments is a plus
• Preschool, daycare, enrichment, or early childhood experience is a plus
• Creative, enthusiastic, dependable, and comfortable performing in front of groups
• Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
