Moore Music, part of Ensemble Performing Arts, has been a trusted source for everything musical in Greensboro since 1938, making it one of the county’s longest continuously operating businesses. Moore Music serves beginning through advanced band and orchestra students with instrument rentals, private lessons, and a wide selection of high-quality musical instruments. Our instruments are carefully set up for optimal playability by an in-house team of skilled repair and service professionals.

NEMC (National Educational Music Company), also part of Ensemble Performing Arts, supports school music programs nationwide through a network of affiliate dealers and company-owned locations. NEMC provides students with access to instruments through rental programs, along with the service, repair, and ongoing support schools need to keep their music programs running and accessible.

Together, Moore Music and NEMC bring the resources of a national music education organization together with the relationships and expertise of a trusted local music store. We connect schools, music educators, families, local dealer partners, and lesson programs to help expand access to instruments, instruction, and the support students need to start—and stay—in music.

The Opportunity

The Music Education Partnerships Manager is responsible for building and supporting strong local music programs throughout their assigned territory. As the primary field relationship owner, you will work directly with music educators, school leaders, families, and the Moore Music team to ensure programs are supported, relationships are strengthened, and opportunities for growth are developed.

You will own your territory by identifying where to focus, building strong local relationships, and driving participation across instrument rentals, lessons, and school programs.

This is a highly relationship-driven, field-based role. You will serve as a trusted resource to educators while connecting schools to instrument access, local services, lessons, and other resources that help music programs thrive.

• Student referrals into lessons and music programs
• Strength and quality of school and community partnerships

What You Own

1. School & Educator Relationships

• Build strong, long-term relationships with music educators, district leaders, and school administrators
• Serve as the primary point of contact for school music programs throughout your territory
• Support band, orchestra, choir, and general music programs through consistent communication and follow-up
• Develop a deep understanding of each school's needs, goals, challenges, and opportunities
• Become a trusted resource and partner to educators by ensuring they feel supported, informed, and connected to the resources they need
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand support within schools and districts

2. Territory Planning & Field Activity

• Build and manage a clear territory plan aligned with school calendars, recruitment periods, and key seasonal opportunities
• Maintain a strong presence in the field through regular school visits and ongoing communication, both in person and remotely
• Plan and support events such as recruitment nights, instrument trial events, parent nights, and other school or community activities
• Track activity, follow up consistently, and maintain clear visibility into your pipeline, priorities, and opportunities
• Coordinate closely with Moore Music and internal teams to ensure schools receive timely instrument delivery, repairs, service, and support
• Continuously evaluate territory performance and adjust priorities to maximize impact and growth

3. Service & Program Support

• Act as the primary point of coordination between schools and internal teams
• Help resolve issues related to rentals, repairs, instruments, and equipment in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure school programs run smoothly by helping coordinate logistics, communication, and follow-through
• Partner with educators to identify needs and recommend appropriate solutions
• Identify and escalate larger opportunities, including school-owned instrument purchases, program development needs, and other opportunities to strengthen the partnership

To Join Our Ensemble

We are looking for someone who brings a combination of relationship-building skills, organization, initiative, and an understanding of how school music programs operate.

You:

• Have experience working with music educators, schools, or in a relationship-based sales, partnership, or account management role
• Understand how school instrumental music programs operate, including seasonal cycles, recruitment periods, and student entry points
• Are comfortable working with band and orchestral instruments
• Communicate clearly and stay organized in a fast-moving, field-based role
• Have experience using CRM tools or are comfortable learning systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
• Hold a valid driver's license and are comfortable traveling daily within your assigned territory
• Are able to lift and transport instruments and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Have a bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
