Tianjin Juilliard’s Public Education Department is dedicated to serving students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Our innovative music programs reflect Tianjin Juilliard’s commitment to fostering well-rounded musicians and lifelong music learners.
We are excited to offer a Music Development Program-Early Years program specifically designed for children aged 3 to 6. This program features a thoughtfully structured, game-based curriculum that encourages exploration, expression, and meaningful musical experiences. Through this program, children develop a deep appreciation for music, build a strong foundation in musical concepts, and enhance their ability to communicate through music.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Music Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality music education to young learners in Tianjin or Shangha during weekends

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons to children aged 3 to 6.
- Seamlessly integrate Tianjin Juilliard’s educational standards and practices into the curriculum.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
2. Collaboration and Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with the Public Education team, school partners, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with program objectives and educational standards.
Key Deliverables
- Consistently deliver high-quality teaching that aligns with program goals.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a strong commitment to the role.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in music, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience teaching music to young children (ages 3–6).
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be eligible for part-time employment in China
- Proficiency in English and Chinese, with the ability to teach bilingually.
Compensation and Hours
- Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed during the interview process).
- Weekend teaching hours in Tianjin or Shanghai.
Contract Terms
- This is a part-time position with a fixed yearly contract
- Contract renewal will be based on program demand and performance.
