Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and versatile  Music & Drama Teacher to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences across Early Years, PYP and MYP.  

The role involves teaching Music (ages 1–16) and Drama (ages 3–16), with  each class receiving one timetabled session per week in each subject The role combines classroom teaching with a strong cocurricular focus, aimed at fostering creativity, confidence, participation and enjoyment for students of all ages. 

Music and Drama are key to building community in our remote setting, and the successful candidate will play a central role in bringing these subjects to life for students, families and staff. 

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Music and Drama lessons aligned with  IB PYP and MYP frameworks, adapting content to suit a wide age range and multigrade classes. 

  • Teach core musical and drama skills with an emphasis on participation and enjoyment. 

  • Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of diverse learners 

  • Lead and develop cocurricular activities such as  choir, band, orchestra, drama clubs and productions, adapting provision to student numbers and interests. 

  • Take a leading role in planning and delivering  school performances and other community events. 

  • Make creative use of the school’s specialist facilities, including music rooms and indoor and outdoor performance spaces. 

  • Engage with the wider community and, where appropriate, harness local talent to support music and drama provision. 

The ideal profile

  • A trained and experienced Music and/or Drama teacher with  strong experience in Early Years and Primary, and the ability to teach up to MYP level. 

  • Experience leading ensembles, performances and productions is essential; ability to  teach musical instruments is highly desirable. 

  • Creative, energetic and solutionsfocused, with the flexibility to adapt programmes when student numbers are small or changing. 

  • Passionate about promoting  participation, confidence and enjoyment, while also stretching and challenging students. 

  • Comfortable working in a  startup environment, contributing beyond a narrow subject remit as needs evolve. 

  • Fluent in English (language of instruction and communication).

Depending on timetable and student needs, the role may be complemented by other responsibilities. Experience or interest in any of the following will be highly valued: 

  • Library support

Starting salary: 140.000 SAR / Year
Final salary is based on relevant qualifications and experience. Accommodation is also provided as an additional benefit and included for staff at no additional cost.
