
The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a Municipal Prosecutor to prosecute Class "C" misdemeanors in Municipal Court of Record; represent the City and State in bond forfeiture proceedings in the Municipal Court of Record. The role advises peace officers, enforcement officers and other employees regarding legal and enforcement procedures. In addition, the role conducts legal and investigative research. The Prosecutor will assist other members of the Legal Department as directed.
The Municipal Prosecutor earns a competitive annual wage of $79,029.74 - $86,357.93/based on experience and qualifications Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance, plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. Education, Experience and Licenses:
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate/LL.B. from an ABA accredited law school is required.
Previous criminal law experience, preferably as a prosecutor for a city or county, is preferred.
Previous municipal law experience preferred.
A Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License is required.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas with membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
