Responsibilities:
Belmont University is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to perform a variety of tasks with a high degree of creativity and latitude. The Multimedia Specialist works as an integral member of the Digital Learning & Innovation team within Educational Innovation, creating and enhancing learning experiences through the conceptualization and creation of visually compelling and effective media. Working alongside instructional designers, the Multimedia Specialist translates subject matter expert content into clear, engaging, accessible, and learner-centered instructional materials for Belmont's online graduate programs, and collaborates with marketing and enrollment teams to attract potential learners.
- Conceptualize, design, and produce instructional multimedia assets and interactive learning materials across multiple modalities — including iconography, infographics, interactive graphics, video, audio, and presentation media — for online programs, faculty development, communications, recruitment, and university events.
- Collaborate with the Educational Innovation team to develop and maintain a consistent creative and instructional media approach for online learning at Belmont, ensuring multimedia assets align with program goals, learner needs, university branding, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with instructional designers to transform expert content into clear, engaging, learner-centered instructional materials and multimedia assets.
- Create and deliver professional development experiences that provide guidance and training on using appropriate tools and techniques to effectively enhance instructional materials with multimedia.
- Create, manage, and organize a vast library of multimedia assets using a digital asset management system for use across a variety of projects and purposes.
- Apply division and university branding policies, accessibility guidelines, documentation standards, and instructional media best practices when producing multimedia, interactive learning assets, templates, presentations, and course materials.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, collaborative, and professional engagement with faculty, staff, subject matter experts, and university partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- The successful candidate must be creative, tech savvy and possess excellent communication skills.

- The Multimedia Specialist must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand, deadline-driven setting, effectively cross-manage multiple projects simultaneously with a great deal of accuracy, high level of quality and keen attention to detail.
- This position must work well with students, faculty and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment.
Required EducationA bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a combination of experience dealing with digital media and/or completion of a related educational degree equal to four years is required.
Required ExperienceProficiency in conceptualizing, designing, and producing multimedia assets across multiple modalities — including graphic design, iconography, infographics, interactive graphics, video, and audio — to create clear, engaging, accessible, and learner-centered materials is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Canva, and Genially is preferred.
