Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the Project Development and Reporting Officer and the direct supervision of the Media and Communications Officer, and in close coordination with programme teams and the Regional Office in Bangkok, the Project Assistant (Multimedia Production) will support IOM Cambodia’s multimedia production. The incumbent will cover programme activities in the field, produce photography, video and design content, deliver donor visibility products that meet IOM brand and donor requirements, and maintain the Mission’s multimedia archive.

  • Produce photography and video content documenting IOM Cambodia’s programme activities, and prepare edited outputs for social media, donor reporting, the website, events and media use.
  • Travel to project sites across Cambodia to cover programme activities, and collect photographs, video footage, interviews and human-interest material, applying IOM’s data protection and informed consent requirements.
  • Assemble and deliver donor visibility products and multimedia inputs for donor reporting, and verify that donor and partner logos, acknowledgements and disclaimers appear correctly on all materials.
  • Maintain the Mission’s multimedia archive, including footage, photographs, consent records, project files and delivered products, and verify the completeness, accuracy and integrity of stored content.
  • Upload, update and maintain multimedia content on IOM Cambodia’s social media platforms and website, and coordinate clearance of content with the Regional Office where required.
  • Provide multimedia and logistical support to Mission events, campaigns, field missions and media visits, including on-site coverage and post-event packages.
  • Design and produce visibility materials, including infographics, banners, fact sheets, brochures, presentations and event collateral, in line with IOM brand guidelines and donor visibility requirements.
  • Coordinate with programme teams, the country office communications team, the Regional Office and external suppliers, including printers, photographers and video producers.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Completed university degree in Communications, Multimedia Production, Journalism, Graphic Design or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with at least one year of relevant working experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience in photography, videography and video editing, supported by a portfolio of published or delivered work;
  • Experience producing visibility and communications materials for donors, government partners or international organizations is an advantage;
  • Experience covering field activities, including travel to project sites in provincial locations;
  • Previous working experience with non-governmental organizations, United Nations agencies or international organizations is an advantage;
  • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent editing and design software;
  • High computer literacy in Windows and Microsoft Office is mandatory; knowledge of web page design is an advantage;
  • Ability to apply IOM brand guidelines and donor visibility requirements consistently across products;
  • Sound judgement in handling sensitive material, including informed consent and the protection of the identity of beneficiaries;
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
