Join our dynamic team as a Multimedia Marketing Intern and bring stories to life through visual content that inspires, informs, and engages a global audience.

VSTEP is a leading innovator of simulation solutions that enable maritime learning. We design and build simulators that help maritime professionals develop competence and prepare for operations. We serve maritime academies, fleet operators, port authorities, navies, and coast guards in more than 70 countries.

What you'll do

You'll bring our simulator solutions to life through video and design, from first concept to finished piece. The work is wonderfully varied, from social clips and event visuals to sales collateral and internal communications, so you'll get to flex different creative muscles. You won't be doing this alone: you'll team up regularly with colleagues across Marketing, Product, Business Development, and HR to help tell the story of VSTEP and our simulator solutions.

Video Production & Editing

• Storyboard and script video content for web, social media, and presentations, from concept to shot list.
• Capture original footage and in-simulator screen recordings that show off our products and training scenarios.
• Plan and coordinate video shoots, working with colleagues to make sure the right footage gets captured.
• Edit and produce polished, on-brand videos with strong pacing and storytelling, ready to publish.

Graphic Design & Visual Storytelling

• Design layouts for marketing collateral such as flyers and brochures (copy provided by others).
• Create static visuals that make complex product features easy to understand, for campaigns, web updates, and product marketing.
• Create animated visuals that bring product features and campaigns to life across web, social, and events.
• Help shape a consistent visual identity for the VSTEP brand across channels.

General Marketing Support

• Monitor VSTEP's social media and community engagement, and respond where needed.
• Organize and send internal and external newsletters.
• Help the marketing team organize participation at major events.
• Bring ideas to team discussions, and help translate marketing and product messages into visual content.

Is this you?

You are:

• Enrolled in a multimedia-design, film, marketing, or communications-related program
• Looking for an internship or graduation project as part of your education or studies
• Comfortable asking an engineer to explain something on camera, or walking up to a colleague at a company event with a phone and an idea
• Excited about photography, filming, and editing
• A visual thinker who enjoys working both independently and with a team

You have:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (this is the language we use internally)
• Experience with video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• Basic familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
• Strong interest in content creation, marketing, and storytelling
• A Dutch working permit and you are based in the Netherlands
