Job Description

ABC17 News is seeking a full-time Multimedia Journalist that will be expected to perform live reporting in the field and bring enterprised story ideas to work every day and work within a research-driven newsroom. Employee must have the flexibility to work in the modern newsroom and could be called upon to beat report, shoot video, produce, web edit, etc.

The successful candidate duties will include gathering information, writing, shooting, cultivating sources and editing stories for nightly newscasts and station website.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have the ability to communicate, strong writing and organizational skills, videography, video tape editing and professional on-camera presence. Bachelor degree in journalism, communication or related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus. Candidate must have a valid Missouri driver’s license and pass a drug test and background check.
