POSITION TITLE: Multimedia Designer

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H13 – Non-Exempt

BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Work Permit--Green

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Multimedia Designer

SUPERVISES: N/A

Design and production of Harrah's brand collateral for new and revised projects as requested internally for Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos. Assist the advertising team in the execution of all communications efforts.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
  • Meet/exceed all timelines/deadlines of design and production projects as assigned
  • Adherence of artistic and imaging standards within the department as well as the specifications developed by Harrah's Branded design standards
  • Responsible for the design and production of print and digital projects as requested for internal and departmental needs (print and digital signage, brochures, newsletters, direct mail elements and promotional materials) as well as design and production of video used for promotional reel and in-house video advertising
  • Execute all assigned job orders based on job tickets/brand standards
  • Follow all departmental standards for completion of work. (Spell Check, spacing, and standard quality control functions, check for accuracy of message, dates, promotion specifics, etc.) in addition to cutting of final signage products and finished pieces required by designer on all work.
  • Preparing media for distribution by Media Coordinator in addition to scheduling and confirming broadcasting of video advertising projects
  • Review assigned job requests for proper and complete job specifications prior to beginning project
  • Complete all assigned job orders within designated work timelines/guidelines
  • Proofread all work, check all proofs and compare all job order instructions before delivering to Media Coordinator
  • Provide support through involvement in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
  • Contribute to the improvement of the business with ideas
  • Responsible for the execution of special design projects, video, digital signage development and content management.
  • Other duties as required, i.e. cutting collateral pieces, organizing collateral for Media Coordinator, assistance with the placement of collateral on assigned on all Front of the House areas when necessary, to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Adhere to design and technical procedures as developed by the Supervisor, Multimedia Design
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree from an accredited educational institution in graphic design preferred
  • Two years production/design experience in a related industry required
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Knowledge of After Effects preferred
  • Knowledge and skill of PC and Macintosh computers and appropriate parallels and specific design software for print and digital design (Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, Designer, Flash, Dreamweaver and InDesign) in addition to production processes
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Creativity and originality in concept for both print and digital mediums
  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to execute projects under pressure and deadlines
  • Capable of working successfully in a fast-paced environment with consistently changing priorities
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
