VCH’s Learning Technologies team consists of a multidisciplinary group of programmers, User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), and Instructional Designers (ID) with a mission to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for VCH staff, clinicians, and patients. The team supports Virtual Health initiatives through various mediums including print, video, web, and Augmented Reality (AR). Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, this the Multimedia Designer provides support to a variety of programs and initiatives in designing/developing visual content of educational material for VCH staff and patients. Duties include shooting and postproduction of videos and photos, recording and editing audio files, designing brochures and logos, delivering user interface (UI) for web/apps/online courses, illustrating, providing technical advice to staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience Grade 12, graduation from a diploma program in visual communication or web design plus one year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to deal with others effectively.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Ability to organize work.Ability to operate related equipment.Ability to keyboard.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
