Summary: This position is routinely responsible for all aspects of medical imaging for three or more imaging modalites. They must work within their defined skill set and utilize established policies and protocols to perform a variety of imaging procedures. Responsible for necessary quality control performance and documentation that supports accreditation initiatives. This person must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient serviced by his department.This position must demonstrate effective organizational and interpersonal skills. Education / Experience:Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology. Minimum 2 years experience in an dual applicable imaging modality. Active primary Radiography registry through the ARRT(R ) and active registry in an additional imaging modality. ARRT registered and Registry in 2 additional assigned modality. Modalities include CT , MR, US, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and PET. License / Certification: Active ARRT Radiography registry required, Active ARRT CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, or PET registry required in 2 areas, BLS required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting for 30% of the workday and mobility 70% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
