We’re looking for a qualified “Multi-Skilled Worker” to join our Village team. This is a part-time position. If you are a strong team player that is interested in assisting with a variety of tasks, then we’d like to hear from you!

Under the direction of the Community Manger or delegate, the multi-skilled worker delivers a varied number of services which may encompass social/recreation programming, dietary and dining services, housekeeping and laundry.

What You Will Do:

• Performs a variety of custodial tasks to maintain a safe homelike environment for residents and families.
• Participates in and/or organizes the delivery of resident entertainment and social activities;
• Answers the telephone in a courteous manner and record and distribute all messages accurately.
• Handles emergency and crisis situations as per 911 fire, safety and building emergency direction.
• Assists and coordinates with recreational activities as required, particularly on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
• Reports any building deficiencies or concerns to the Community Manager.
• Daily tidies up the outside seating area, making sure the vacuuming and dusting of common areas is completed. Common area bathrooms to be cleaned daily. Sweep front area if required.
• Performs general cleaning of resident’s private rooms or suites and responsible for the sanitation of the building
• Provides laundry service to the quality standards of the village in concurrence with, as defined by, the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Community Manager.
• Maintains equipment in good order; assists in the control and inventory of linens and laundry supplies; performs regular laundry duties, as well as other duties required to assist with the day to day operations of the building as a whole.
• Prepares for lunch and dinner ensuring the tables are complimented with accessories, fills water jugs and tea cart; during dinner serves meals, clears, washes and
• Sanitary requirements include dishes; cleaning walls, tables and chairs, fans, juice machine, and salt and pepper shakers.

What You Will Bring:

• CPR Certified an asset
• FoodSafe certificate preferred
• Clear a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
• Immunization record
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• At least one year experience enhancing the lives of seniors preferably in a community setting
• Works cooperatively with other team members to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
• Respects and promotes the dignity, choices and individuality of each resident by recognizing them as a whole individual with unique cultural, spiritual and psychological needs
