Wehave an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicianspecialising in plumbing and mechanical repairs to work as part of our Leedsteam,providing bothplanned and responsive maintenanceexpertise
This is a permanent full timeposition working 37.5hours,5-days per week. You will be part of the maintenance team that covers shift patterns between 9amto 5pm Mondayto FridayThe salary is £38499.00per annum plus overtime.
Please note that a current UK manual driving licence is essential for this role alongside a valid domestic gas safe qualification.
Key responsibilities include:
Carry outplanned andreactive maintenance in accordance with theService Level Agreement and provide front line response for all plumbing and mechanical work
Undertakeall workin a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and report any hazardsor safety issuesto the relevant Manager
Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule & liaise with specialist sub-contractors
Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance
Assist with statutory testing including fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and fire detector checks, water temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and emergency lighting checks
Take the lead in building fabric stock management (ordering, storage, distribution) ensuring appropriate parts are held and available to meet SLA timescales for repair
Assist team colleagues in other trades as and when required including cross-trade skills sharing
We are looking forto already bea skilled plumberwithina maintenance environmentwith a range of repair workexperience You will alsohavegreat communication and organisation skills, always delivering work to a high standard
Alongside this,you willhave a good understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems as well as good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to always work in a safe manner.
You will also be prepared to work (with notice) additional hours when the needed, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekendsevery year
