Join us on our new, exciting contract with Birmingham City Council
Mears Group has been awarded a major new 10-year partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver repairs, maintenance, and planned investment work across 11,500 homes in central and west Birmingham. This contract represents one of our most significant projects in the city and will create a wide range of opportunities across our operational teams.
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative (Disrepair) to join our team in Birmingham. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and remedial works within occupied social housing properties, helping to resolve disrepair issues and improve residents' homes.
Working across a range of trades, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs resulting from damp and mould, water ingress, structural defects, and general property disrepair. This role requires a strong customer focus, excellent workmanship, and the ability to complete repairs right first time while working respectfully within residents' homes.
With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to improving housing standards, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team making a real difference in local communities.
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for more than 3 months, and have fewer than 9 penalty points.
