
Job Role & Responsibilities
A hands-on Night Shift Engineer role within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, focused on keeping production running smoothly through effective reactive and planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment
Support line start-ups, changeovers, and overall night shift operations
Complete PPM schedules and engineering documentation accurately
Work in line with health, safety, food hygiene, and site procedures
The Ideal Candidate will have
Time-served experience or a Level 3 qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)
Background in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and confidently on night shifts
Solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards
Desirable Skills
Multi-skilled engineering capability
Experience with continuous improvement or reliability-focused maintenance
Familiarity with modern manufacturing equipment and systems
Benefits Include
Salary of up to £51,000 per annum
4 on 4 off night shift pattern (18:00–06:00)
