Ace Handyman Services is looking for a dependable and experienced Multi-Skilled Craftsperson to join our growing team in Springfield, IL. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving problems, and values strong customer relationships.

As part of our team, you’ll work on a wide variety of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects while enjoying schedule flexibility, competitive pay, and the support of a locally owned business backed by the trusted Ace Hardware brand.

This position begins part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role as business needs grow.

Responsibilities

General Handyman & Trade Work

• Complete residential maintenance, repair, and improvement projects efficiently and professionally
• Perform work related to carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, tiling, and basic electrical repairs
• Troubleshoot problems independently and recommend effective solutions for customers
• Maintain high-quality workmanship across all assigned projects

Customer Service & Communication

• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and team members
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering reliable and timely service
• Represent the Ace Handyman Services brand positively on every job site

Worksite & Schedule Management

• Manage daily job assignments and travel between customer locations
• Maintain organized tools, materials, and work vehicles
• Follow safety standards and company procedures at all times

Requirements

Must Have

• Previous experience working in skilled trades or handyman services
• Knowledge of multiple trades including:
• Carpentry
• Tiling
• Painting
• Drywall
• Flooring
• Basic electrical work
• Current valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance
• Own standard set of tools
• Ability to pass background and driving record checks
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated work ethic

Nice to Have

• Experience working independently in customers’ homes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple project types efficiently
