Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Operations

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel equipment and facilities.
• Attend to guest room maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC maintenance work.
• Monitor and maintain lighting, air-conditioning systems, water supply systems, and other engineering equipment.
• Ensure all engineering logs, checklists, and maintenance records are accurately maintained.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all hotel safety procedures and engineering SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with fire, life safety, and health regulations.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment failures, or maintenance concerns immediately.
• Support fire drills and emergency response procedures as required.

Guest Service

• Respond to guest maintenance complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Minimize disruption to guests while carrying out repair work.
• Maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude at all times.

Energy Conservation

• Monitor utility consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently to reduce energy wastage.

Housekeeping & Maintenance Standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering workshops, stores, and plant rooms.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related technical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
