UKCEH is looking for anexperienced Facilities Manager (Multi-Site) to lead facilities operations across our Lancaster (primary) and Bangor sites.You’llbe joining a team of talented individuals, contributing to sciencediscoveryand generating the data,insightsand solutions that researchers, businesses and government need to solve complexenvironmental challenges.
In this role,you’llbemanaging a multi-disciplinary facilities team, ensuring service excellence across cleaning, waste, fleet, reception, and contractor services, whilemaintainingfull compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.
You’llact as the operational lead across both sites, balancing on-site leadership at Lancaster with remote management and planned travel to Bangor.
You’llbe the point of contactas theon‑sitelead for Workplace operations, managing key service areas including fleet coordination, waste management, cleaning, reception, and overall service delivery.Strong communicationskills are essential, with regular engagementrequiredwith key stakeholders such as ourlandlords, Bangorand Lancaster Universities, Heads ofSite aswell as colleagues and science groups across both sites.
While Lancaster will be your primary location base, you will collaborate regularly with colleagues at the Bangor ECW site and the Aber field location.On‑sitevisits are expected whenrequiredto support the onsite team with operations, with most engagement effectively managed remotely.
