Multi-disciplinary Veterinary Nurse – ECC, Surgery & Medicine – Part time or Full time!

Are you a versatile and passionate veterinary nurse looking to grow your skills across multiple departments? Join AEC + Specialty Care Moorabbin, a brand-new, purpose-built hospital designed from the ground up for Emergency & Critical Care and Specialty services.

We’re looking for a Multi-disciplinary Veterinary Nurse to join our team either on a Part-time or Full-time Basis, working across Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), Surgery, and our soon-to-be Medicine department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and loves delivering high quality patient care.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll rotate between ECC, Surgery and our developing Medicine department, providing essential nursing support wherever it’s needed most:

ECC

  • Assist with triage, emergency procedures, and critical patient monitoring.
  • Support veterinarians during urgent diagnostics and treatments.

Surgery

  • Prepare patients for anaesthesia and surgical procedures.
  • Provide safe, attentive anaesthetic monitoring and surgical assistance.
  • Support post-operative care and recovery.

Medicine (Soon-to-be-Launched)

  • Deliver in patient care, treatments, and monitoring for medical patients.
  • Assist with diagnostics including blood collection, imaging, and fluid therapy.
  • Help establish workflow and support rollout of the medicine department.

Across all departments, you’ll play a key role in maintaining workflow, supporting patient outcomes, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Experience in ECC, Surgery, and/or medicine – or a strong desire to develop in these areas.
  • A flexible, adaptable nurse who enjoys variety and learning new skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • A calm, compassionate approach to patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Availability for a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
