Job Description

The Multi-Building Maintenance Technician oversees maintenance operations across multiple facilities ensuring timely and compliant interior and exterior upkeep, managing work orders and emergencies (including on‑call support), coordinating vendors, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, preparing units and event spaces, and leading a high performing team through clear expectations, consistent guidance, and ongoing professional development.
Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance operations across all assigned facilities. Ensure that proper maintenance procedures are followed and completed in a timely manner in the interior and exterior of assigned properties. Ensure compliance with all related policies and procedures, professional standards, regulatory requirements and licensing. Available for on-call scheduling, including evenings and weekends, across buildings outside of immediate area of responsibility. Required to travel to multiple sites within assigned area, and to other buildings when on-call.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness and safety of assigned buildings through daily cleaning tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom sanitation) and periodic maintenance projects such as floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Handle work orders in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Ensure that all rooms and/or main areas are clean and ready for daily use, meetings, or special events by arranging tables and chairs. Prepare vacant rental units by cleaning, preparing and painting the unit to ensure it is ready to be occupied, as needed. Responsible for handling and/or coordinating services to resolve any maintenance-related emergencies, as needed. Work with external vendors and stakeholders as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule as needed, responding to emergencies outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, and coordinating with internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely and effective resolution of urgent issues. Attend professional trainings as needed.
  • Lead and develop the team by setting clear goals and expectations, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and guidance. Inspire team excellence by modeling accountability, collaboration, and solution-oriented thinking, and ensure team members are supported, empowered, and high-performing while fostering a positive, purpose-driven culture.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Prior experience with electrical work, plumbing, and/or painting.
  • Familiarity with building systems and emergency response protocols.

Preferred

  • Associate's Degree (AA) 5+ years relevant experience
  • Competence in documentation and compliance with safety standards.
  • Vendor management experience.

Certifications and Licensure

  • Preferred CMRT, HVAC Certification; CAMT, BOC, OSHA Safety Certification; FMP
