Job Requirements
Education:

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electro-optics, Physics or with strong Optical Transport System and fiber optic background is required, PHD is preferred

Experience:

• 5+ years optical or related industry design experience in fiber communication companies
• 5+ years system design experience in telecom industry or optical transmission or L2 switch area
• Broad and comprehensive knowledge of optical fiber communication in optics or L2 switch, software, network architectures, applications and protocols.
• Experience in management interface and model design
• Possess good project working experience with different functions.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
• Ability to recommend and implement improvements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with networked PC based computer systems

Special Skills:

• Develop innovative, competitive product architectures and concepts for optical telecommunications products based on:
• Understanding of business requirements, use cases and operational concepts
• Trade-off between cost, function, capacity and performance
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in telecommunications networks, data center interconnect and related topics
• Industry standards knowledge (e.g. ITU-T, OIF, MSA, IETF)
• And a deep technical understanding of:
• optical network equipment, OCS technology; optical interfaces in datacenter; L2/L3 network technologies in telecommunication and datacenter networks;
• Implementation of these functions in software and management interface with hands-on experience;
• Management interfaces and information models like Netconf/Yang, CLI, and gRPC;
• Product architecture knowledge on optical transport products;
• Need excellent people communication skills, responsibility and initiative
• Proficient in written and oral English
• Demonstrated good ability to solve complex issues in product development

1. Work to define feature, system behavior and architecture from system aspect. Provide product system requirement to design team.
2. Analyze customer specification and derive system feature requirements
3. Work with design team to complete design and Verification. Solve key issues during the design.
4. Support and attend Customer meeting and support
5. Support some RFI and RFQ

2) Customer and industry support activities and knowledge transfer

1. Working with Customer to support North Bound Interface and model discussion
2. Design and provide NBI model of management interface for R&D development
3. Attend Industry standard discussion and contribution on optical transmission system

4. Support Knowledge transfer to R&D and other teams

3) Innovation and Technical driving
10%

1. Actively take part in development new technology and new platform. Release Paper work and filing IP.
2. Study OCS technical future demand and Open computer network architecture, contribute to SW technology driving
