***ENTRY LEVEL POSITION***

• Planning and coordinating the backhaul process for MDI.
• Reviewing backhaul information and communicates directly with Drivers, Dispatch, MDI Warehouse, buyers, and shippers when issues arise and makes changes when necessary.
• Logging and sending all billing information to Accounting to ensure maximum profits are achieved.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or until finished.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates logistic loads, pick up, and appointment schedules to optimize backhaul capacity and maximize revenue
• Coordinates with dispatch and dedicated carriers on the routing of MTH (Merchants Transport of Hickory) Logistics loads.
• Coordinates and communicates daily with customers, transportation supervision, routers, and drivers to ensure backhauls run efficiently.
• Analyzes daily available load capacity, planning and coordinating to balance workload and to ensure maximum revenue. Research additional backhauls to help facilitate daily driver capacity through DAT board system to book loads
• Plans and coordinate logistic loads pick up appointments, minimizing drivers' down time as well as keeping the driver within D.O.T's regulations.
• Responsible for submitting all freight transactions in MTH billing program. Bills all accessorial charges for logistics. Logs detentions in a report and sends to Logistics Manager.
• Communicates daily, in a timely manner, with customers and logistics manager all issues concerning on time deliveries as well as all issues related to Logistic Loads
• Communicates daily with drivers that are experiencing problems and resolve their issues.
• Evaluate costs of laying over/ delaying drivers when needed by determining importance of load.
• Creates and coordinates deliveries for W Lee Flowers, MTH logistics & MDI outside storage customers in CAMMS.
• Logs and sends all billing information to Accounting to ensure maximum profits are achieved.
• May be required to perform additional tasks, as necessary

Qualifications

Dimensions:

• Working experience with MDI Warehouse Systems including Mainframe, CAMMS, Biceps, I-trade, People Net, PowerVue, DAT Board, OrbComm and Yard Viewer.
• Inbound logistics experience preferred.
• Beginning to intermediate level of Excel and Word
• Effective communication/organizational skills and ability to effectively resolve and communicate resolution to problems.
• Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Ability to be flexible with schedule if job requires.
• Strong attention to detail and ability handle stress and meet deadlines timely.
• This position plans and coordinates the scheduling of pickup and delivery appointments for a Logistics department as needed, for 250+ loads per weekMinimum of 1 year experience in Logistic load planning and an excellent work performance.
