Job Description

The ideal candidate should have excellent SQL development skills, hands-on experience with the Microsoft BI technology stack, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable data and reporting solutions.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain MSBI solutions using SQL Server and Microsoft BI technologies.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL and data integration processes.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple heterogeneous data sources into data warehouses and data marts.
• Design and develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and scripts.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain SSRS reports, including parameterized, drill-down, drill-through, and operational reports.
• Develop and maintain SSAS Tabular and/or Multidimensional models based on project requirements.
• Work on data warehouse design, including fact tables, dimension tables, star schemas, and snowflake schemas.
• Perform data analysis, data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and reports to improve application performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to ETL jobs, databases, reporting, and data quality.
• Implement error handling, logging, auditing, and restart/recovery mechanisms within ETL solutions.
• Schedule and monitor ETL processes using SQL Server Agent or enterprise scheduling tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and production support.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, ETL specifications, and deployment documents.
• Follow development standards, version-control practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in MSBI/Business Intelligence development.
• Strong experience developing ETL processes using SSIS.
• Strong SQL programming and performance-tuning experience.
• Hands-on experience developing reports using SSRS.
• Experience with SSAS Tabular or Multidimensional models.
• Good understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and convert them into technical BI solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within geographically distributed teams.
