Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O - Finance Functional Consultant

Contract Type

Temporary Contract (Consulting Role)
Duration: [8 months, with possible extension]

We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Finance Functional Consultant to join our team to support a D365 F&O implementation project This role is focused on delivering finance solutions with a strong emphasis on financial consolidation and cash management

The successful candidate will act as a senior consultant, leading finance workstreams, advising stakeholders on best practices, and ensuring the successful design and implementation of D365 F&O Finance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead functional design and configuration for core finance modules, including:
    • Financial Consolidation
    • Cash & Bank Management
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Fixed Assets
  • Design and implement financial consolidation solutions, including:
    • Multi-entity consolidations
    • Intercompany accounting and eliminations
    • Consolidation structures, hierarchies, and reporting
  • Lead the design of cash management processes, including:
    • Bank account structures
    • Cash positioning and forecasting
    • Bank reconciliation and payment processing
  • Facilitate finance workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Translate business and accounting requirements into fit-to-standard D365 F&O solutions
  • Advise subject matter experts on best practices and standard functionality
  • Collaborate with technical teams on:
    • Data migration strategy and validation
    • Integrations with banking systems and upstream/downstream applications
    • Financial reporting and analytics
  • Lead and support:
    • System Integration Testing (SIT)
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Cutover planning and go-live execution
  • Support post-go-live stabilization and transition to support teams
  • Produce high-quality functional documentation and knowledge transfer materials
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance stakeholders, including Controllers, Treasury leaders, and CFO-level sponsors

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O / Dynamics AX in a finance functional consulting role
  • Proven experience delivering D365 F&O implementation projects in a consulting capacity
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with:
    • Financial Consolidation
    • Cash & Bank Management
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Consolidation methodologies and intercompany accounting
    • Cash management, treasury processes, and bank integrations
    • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Experience working in large scale multi-entity environments
  • Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a senior consultant capacity on a contract basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance certifications
  • Experience with:
    • Global or complex organizational structures
    • SOX or audit-controlled environments
  • Prior experience working with system integrators or consulting firms
  • Exposure to Power BI or advanced financial reporting solutions
