Join a dynamic team as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer in Tallinn, Estonia. In this pivotal role, you will lead the AML and CTF framework. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the compliance strategy and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements. You will be at the forefront of implementing effective risk management processes and have a direct impact on the company's growth in the fintech landscape.
Take overall responsibility for the company’s AML/CTF framework and MLRO function
Build and implement the AML/CTF policies, procedures, controls, and internal processes
Establish the company’s AML risk assessment framework and ongoing monitoring processes
Develop and oversee transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, sanctions screening, and other AML-related controls
Select, implement, and oversee the relevant AML/compliance tools and systems
Establish appropriate reporting, escalation, and governance processes
Act as the primary point of contact with the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and other relevant regulators on AML/CTF matters
Prepare and manage regulatory reporting and respond to regulatory requests and enquiries
Ensure the company’s AML framework remains compliant with applicable Estonian and EU regulatory requirements
Proven experience as an MLRO / AML Officer / Head of AML within a regulated financial institution
Strong knowledge of Estonian and EU AML/CTF requirements and regulatory expectations
Experience working with or communicating directly with Estonian regulators / FIU
Hands-on experience building AML/compliance frameworks and processes
Strong understanding of KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, risk assessment and AML governance
Fluent English and Estonian
Based in Estonia / strong local Estonian market and regulatory knowledge
Strong ownership and ability to operate independently
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong strategic and analytical thinking
Hands-on, proactive approach to building processes from the ground up
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
