ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time flex MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the day/evening shift on the weekends.

Schedule:

-Friday/Saturday/Sunday

-12 hr day/eve shifts

As a MRI Technologist:

  • Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
  • Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
  • Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
  • Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
  • Performs QC and is able to digitize films
  • Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements:

  • Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
  • Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
  • 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
  • Experience with Siemens products preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $38.22 - $61.16This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
