MRI Technologist
MRI Technologist is responsible for providing quality diagnostic exams for interpretation. MRI Technologist is also responsible for maintaining a safe environment in the work area for patients, staff, and visitors. Must be knowledgeable in MRI safety.

Required: AS Degree, ARRT (R), (MRI) within 1 year of hire, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (MRI)
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $33.73 an hour
Responsibilities
Accurate image identification including documentation in patient records (Charts) of proper consents, orders and screening forms., Completes level 2 MRI safety training annually., Conducts safety evaluations on each person entering Zone 3 and Zone 4 as appropriate., Determines portion of body to be imaged and properly positions the most suitable body position for the scan., Knowledgeable of MRI equipment use and able to make technique adjustments as necessary to provide diagnostic images., Maintains a safe work environment at ALL times., Performs intravenous injection of contrast media products under the guidance of the Radiologist., Processes images to PACS system., Provides proper documentation in patient charts for consents, orders and screening., Utilizes Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges and process studies., Utilizes proper safety techniques to scan patients and provide excellent quality imaging., When exams require contrast media, applies knowledge of Creatinine & GFR levels to aid in determining the use of contrast. Understands criteria, normal vs. elevated levels, protocols to follow for abnormal levels and consults w/ physician or nurse as appropriate.
