As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and proceduresonpatients of all ages, healthbackgroundsand conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable,safeand properly informed throughout the entire process, helpingfacilitatea welcoming and supportive experience. In this role, you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positivelasting impressionon patients every day.
Acaregiver in this position worksMonday-Friday from 10:30AM – 7:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prepare and check patients prior toMRIprocedure.
Acquireand review patientquestionnaire,chartand data/requisitiontodeterminecontraindication of having MRIexamination
Verify andvalidatethe patient screening safety form.
Perform MRI proceduresrequiredper protocol and perform daily QA.
Perform venipunctures.
Educate patientsregardingMRI procedures,equipmentand exams.
Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.
Assistwith scheduling patients.
Administer proper contrast related topatienthaving MRIexam
Acquire, archive,transmitand print images via PACS.
Complete after-hourstransmission of images andappropriate paperwork
Immediately report any malfunctions,observepotential equipmentdysfunctionsand reportproblemsor call for service.
Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.
Process billing via RIS.
Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing
ORRegistered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing
ORCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways
Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT)requiredwithin one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationthrough the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities
Physical Requirements:
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
