Job Description

Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Concord, NC
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Weekend Program)
Employment Type: Direct Hire

A high-volume, Level III trauma hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and adherence to departmental protocols. The ideal candidate is skilled in working across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
  • Review and verify physician orders, ensuring accuracy prior to imaging
  • Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and obtain complete medical histories
  • Administer IV contrast as needed and document appropriately
  • Evaluate image quality and collaborate with radiologists when necessary
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies, including assisting in code situations
  • Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety standards and infection control policies
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including Siemens 3T and GE 1.5T systems
  • Accurately document procedures, charges, and patient information in the EMR system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on MRI experience preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR and advanced MRI equipment preferred

Compensation

  • Hourly Pay: $34.90 – $43.63/hour
  • Weekend Differential: +$8.00/hour (Friday 7 AM – Monday 7:30 AM)
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
  • Relocation Bonus: Up to $5,000
