Responsibility Summary:
Performs technical MRI assignments. Exercises complex skill, judgement and knowledge of the principles and methods of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Performs diagnostic MRI studies as requested. Performs Infection Control according to Universal Precautions. MRI Technologist shall have the ability to provide care to infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
Education
Minimum: A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology.
Preferred: Formal MRI training
Experience
Minimum: Radiology Technology program (AMA approved 2-year program). Previous experience in diagnostic radiology.
Preferred: 1-2 years experience in related radiology fields, with MRI experience
License/Certification
License Required: NYS license, certification as a radiologic, nuclear medicine or ultrasound technologist
Certifications Preferred: Formal MRI-specific training
Salary Range: $42.50 - $48.85
