Job Description

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Between 7 am to 2 pm
  • 2 to 3 times a week

Ensures safety of patients and staff during MRI procedures by screening and monitoring for contraindications and maintaining equipment. Essential Functions:

  • Maintains security around the entrance to each magnet.
  • Ensures that no person enters Zone 3 without proper screening for ferrous objects. Uses metal detection devices as warranted to detect ferrous objects.
  • Actively participates in the responsibility for MR safety of each patient and other employees.
  • Follows Radiation, MR, and general safety policies.
  • Complies with radiology, state, federal, and other regulatory guidelines, and policies.
  • Represents the department’s customer service focus for both internal and external contacts.


Education Requirement:

  • High school graduate, required.
  • Currently enrolled in healthcare related field of study, preferred.


Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

Current CPR Certification, preferred.


Skills:

High level of professionalism and ability to establish good rapport with patients and staff.


Experience:

Healthcare or clinical experience, preferred.
