In this role and under the direction of the MRI Manager in collaboration with the MRI Medical director, the Modality Technical Specialist functions as the MRI technical "subject matter expert".This position is charged with the development & implementation of all clinical imaging protocols for all scanners within the region Burr Ridge, Oakbrook Terrace, Gottlieb Medical Hospital, McNeal Hospital, Tinley Park and main campus LUMC and LUMOC Must have in-depth knowledge of MRI parameters manipulation and troubleshooting. In addition, this person performs technical procedures, applying magnetic resonance techniques that require independent judgement, ingenuity. and initiative in order to provide the physician with the highest quality of diagnostic information. T he MRI Modality Technical Specialist also acts as the chief educator-clinical instructor/super trainer for all staff and students. MRI Technical Specialist works in collaboration with MRI Physicist to oversee all MRI research projects, directs quality for the modality, and serves as a liaison between the equipment vendor, physicians, & staff. Performs IQR and ACR accreditation. Ability to grow and manage MRI programs with various Radiology schools.

Annual Salary Range: $74,651 – $130,853
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
