You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr for the F-35 Flight Test MRB Team which is responsible for ensuring airframe, electrical, fuel and hydraulic system integrity during F‑35 flight‑test missions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for leading material review activities that support F‑35 flight‑test objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigate anomalies and develop technical solutions for high‑performance airframe, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and release disposition orders for aircraft non‑conformances.
• Coordinate resolution across Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes groups.
• Interface daily with maintenance and flight‑test engineering staff to drive process improvements and corrective actions.
• Provide MRB coverage on second shift, including occasional off‑shift and weekend support, and obtain Material Review certification.

You are a collaborative, detail‑oriented engineer with extensive depot‑level experience on high‑performance aircraft. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, are comfortable working in confined spaces, and can adapt to off‑hours schedules. Your strong technical background and proactive communication make you an effective bridge between engineering, maintenance, and quality teams.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
• Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
• Experience providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with CATIA V5 and Team Center
• Experience with metallic and composite design and/or analysis
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Prior experience/role with MR Engineering signature authority
• Strong internal and external customer focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
