Key Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for building, leading, and developing theMPLexecutionteam inSpain, effectively and efficiently managing resources and workload distribution
Design, manageandexecutecomplex, tailor-madeproject logisticssolutions, focusing on oversized cargo transportationacross multiple market segments
Driveoperational excellence and ensuring high-quality project execution across all assigned customer projects
Collaborateclosely with Sales and Business Development to support customerwins with technical know-howandcompetitive, fit-for-purposesolution design
Oversee end-to-end project execution, including on-site supervision through your team where required
Lead continuous improvement initiativesand implementing processesto drive efficiency, costleadership, and service quality—internally and towards customers
Foster and maintain strong client relationships, consistently delivering excellence.
Build a dynamic, diversified andcompetitivevendornetwork to bring maximum control, efficiency and valuetomeet the requirements of the customer projects
Build a stable and scalable business inSpain and develop new operational capabilitiesand skillsetin order to support the commercial growthambitionin Spain
Responsible for operational metrics and forecast reporting to management as part of performance cycles
Ensure adherence to MPL Standard Billing Cycle and Job Costing Policy andfacilitateBusiness Controlling and financial month end activities
Act as a role model for Maersk values, safety standards, and compliance requirements
We Are Looking For:
You are a proactive, customer-centricand results-driven leader with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment and are motivated by building and leading teams. You take ownership, embrace accountability, and bring people together to deliver outstanding results for customers.
5+ years ofstrong operational experience within freight forwarding,project logistics or managing breakbulk, over-dimensioned and out-of-gauge cargo (sea and/or road)
Track record of delivering resultsand demonstrated experience inlocal and end-to-endproject coordination and execution
Solid understanding of global trade and complex supply chain operations
Strong commercialmindset andstrong understanding of customer service dynamics and experience in managing client relationships(prior experience in roles with direct customerexposure preferred)
Proven leadership experience,with a focus on leading small, highly-engaged and high-performingteamsand developing talent
Self-starter with a highly collaborative mindsetanda hands-on, “can-do” approach
Ability tocollaborateeffectively within a matrix organizationwith strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills inSpanishand English
Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to travel as required
