We're looking for a Mower Operator to help keep Māngere and Ōtāhuhu's parks, reserves, berms and public spaces looking their best. If you're someone who enjoys working with machinery, takes pride in a job well done, and values being part of a great team, we'd love to hear from you.
Every day, you'll play an important role in maintaining the green spaces that local communities use and enjoy.
What You'll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga
• Operating a range of mowing equipment including ride-on mowers, out-front mowers, tractors and small plant
• Maintaining berms, parks, reserves and other public green spaces throughout the Māngere and Ōtāhuhu area
• Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Working safely and efficiently to meet contract standards
• Supporting the wider Greenspace team with activities such as line trimming, weed control, litter collection and general maintenance
• Delivering high-quality work while contributing to a positive team culture

You don't need every qualification under the sun to be successful in this role. What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
We're looking for someone who:
• Has a current Class 1 Driver Licence
• Has experience operating mowers, machinery or outdoor equipment
• Enjoys physical, hands-on work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Takes health and safety seriously
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in delivering quality work and maintaining high standards
A Class 2 licence, horticulture experience or traffic management qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
