Job Description

Motorcoach Driver – Both Full-Time and Part-Time Openings

SOUTHLAND Transportation is currently seeking Motorcoach Drivers to join our team in Humboldt.

Available work includes transporting workers to and from the BHP Site in Lanigan and various charters throughout the province (school field trips, hockey teams, etc.). Motorcoach Drivers are responsible for safely transporting clients and providing superior customer service. Effective communication skills, patience, and superior navigation skills are all attributes that will help you succeed in this role.

Full-Time: 32-40 hours per week, worked as a split-shift from 5:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm; Monday to Thursday with the occasional Friday

Part-Time: 20+ hours per week; shifts can include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights

Wage: $29.00 per hour

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate various charters throughout the province
  • Drive safely and responsibly; be prepared for all road conditions
  • Ensure compliance with Hours of Service
  • Pre-and-post trip checks, fueling of the coach
  • Complete all applicable paperwork

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Class 1A or 2A driver’s license
  • Previous motorcoach experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Organized, punctual, and reliable
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Calm, pleasant, and helpful manner
  • Excellent driving skills and habits
  • Superior map reading and navigation skills
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service
