The Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) performs functions of the state relative to the examination and licensing of operators of motor vehicles, the suspension and revocation of such licenses, issuance of vehicle title and registration certificates, license plates for all motor vehicles operated upon the highways of the state, recordation of liens against vehicles, and the collection of sales/use tax and other appropriate fees, all in accordance with applicable laws.

This position for a Motor Vehicle Compliance Analyst 1 serves within Houma OMV location. Attention to detail, general writing and math skills, and willingness to work and communicate with others, as well as aiding other OMV offices or sections and the public, are key to success in this role. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
May be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment.

Supplemental information

Job Duties:

• Conduct title searches and examine title documents
• Prepare and review data associated with obtaining motor vehicle licenses and identification cards
• Coordinate with various state agencies involved in state driver history and titling
• Assist in resolving any title issues that may arise during the transaction process
• Maintain accurate records of all title-related and licensing documentation

• Issue and update licenses and identification cards
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the process



Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This posting may be used to fill a probational appointment or job appointment.
Career Progression As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLIANCE ANALYST 1, 2, or 3, depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. This position is eligible for premium pay of up to $2.00 per hour.
