of Duties

This temporary position will assist with the transportation of Mentorship and Research students to off-site, experiential Mentorship locations in Western North Carolina.

Motor Pool Drivers are responsible for the safe, efficient and timely delivery of mentorship students passengers to their off-site mentorship experiences. This position requires a valid drivers license with no serious driving-related convictions.

This position supports the administration of the Morganton-hosted Mentorship Program, Morganton-hosted Summer Research & Innovation Program (SRIP), and research and innovation at NCSSM.

  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license
  • No serious driving related convictions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The following are preferred but not required:

  • Previous experience driving for an educational institution
  • Previous experience driving large capacity passenger vans
  • High school degree or higher

Completion of grammar school. Necessary Special Requirement: appropriate North Carolina Drivers License for the weight and type of vehicle operated as required by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
