Job Description

Responsible for the motor control related SW development, control performance optimization and verification and other motor control related tasks in projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the design and optimization of motor control algorithms for PMSM and ASM in NEV.
  • Responsible for software development related to motor control, including implementation of control algorithms and fault diagnosis modules.
  • Prepare technical documentation compliant with ASPICE requirements, and conduct corresponding software testing.
  • Support motor calibration, analyze calibration data to deal with control performance issue.
  • Refine algorithm structure and parameters through simulation and experimental testing, continuously optimizing motor control algorithms to meet performance specifications and functional requirements.
  • Study next generation motor control algorithm and lead key new motor control algorithms development.
  • Support team members in daily work, attend motor control work products review and software platform maintenance.
  • Act as interface for motor control team in projects to address development priorities, SW architecture evaluation, key issue analysis, etc.
  • Collaborate with other competencies to complete software debugging and issue analysis related to motor control.
  • Support analysis and resolution of other issues during product development to ensure project delivery quality and timelines.

Key Competencies

  • More than 5 years of experience in motor control related design & development.
  • Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control, Automotive Electronics, or related fields
  • Proficient in control algorithms such as FOC/DTC, weak-field control, different PWM modulation algorithms for PMSM or ASM motors and motor calibration methods.
  • Proficient in classical and modern control theories (PID, transfer function analysis, observer design, frequency response, etc.)
  • Familiar with advance motor control algorithms such as sensorless control, harmonic injection, RTO, ATO, etc.
  • Familiar with basics of PMSM & ASM.
  • Skilled in using simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink for system simulation and design
  • Strong ability in writing embedded C code & MBD (Model-Based Design) development using Simulink
  • Familiar with automotive software development standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262)
  • Familiar with common development tools like Lauterbach, CANape, CANalyzer, INCA, etc.
  • Familiar with Infineon Tricore based development and control related ADC, PWM, Timer configuration is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving methodologies, team collaboration mindset, sense of responsibility, innovative thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Good spoken and written English is a plus.
