This is a branch based customer facing role to generate revenue by delivering product recommendations and sales fulfilment to clients who require specific product type, e.g. Mortgages.

Primary focus is on one sales stream or specialist product, however can identify cross sell opportunities based on customer need and refers where necessary.

Will undertake product sales using (Engage, Discovery, Recommend, Act & Service) EDRAS based sales process to discover and manage customer needs, and will ensure delivery of a consistently excellent customer experience and encourage customers to use alternative channels where appropriate.

The role holder is responsible for:

  • Undertake product sales, using EDRAS based sales process to discover and manage customer needs
  • Ensure delivery of a consistently excellent customer experience and encouraging customers to use alternative channels (where appropriate)
  • Generate revenue by delivering product recommendations and sales fulfilment to clients who require a specific product type
  • Sell Mortgage and Insurance products offered by HSBC
  • Contact prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources
  • Meet with customers outside your normal location e.g. possible other HSBC branches
  • Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of your own sales
  • Meet monthly minimum personal production goals
  • Take mortgage applications and prepare effective mortgage pre -approvals
  • Provide consumers with a superior level of customer service
  • Stay informed of developing trends in the mortgage industry
  • Attend training sessions and courses
  • Maintain compliance with all industry-specific regulations and HSBC Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling Mortgages in the last twelve months
  • A solid understanding of appraisals, and product guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in ability to handle customers’ negotiations.
  • Work efficiently and accurately with proven success in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated, careful decision-making skills
  • Working independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
