Mortgage Processor

The Mortgage Processor is responsible for managing the documentation process for mortgage loan. This role serves as the bridge between loan officers, Home Builder, and borrowers to ensure files are complete, compliant, and ready for underwriting approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, verify, and process borrower documentation such as income, assets, employment, and credit reports.

• Communicate with loan officers, borrowers, real estate agents, and title companies to obtain required information and resolve discrepancies.

• Order and track third-party services (appraisals, verifications of employment, title, flood certifications, etc.).

• Prepare and submit complete loan packages to underwriting within established timelines.

• Monitor loan status and provide updates to all stakeholders throughout the process.

• Maintain organized loan files and accurate data entry in the loan origination system.

• Support closing by ensuring all conditions are cleared and documentation is accurate.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred in finance, business, or related field).

• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage processing, lending, or a related field preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines (FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA) and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with loan origination software (Encompass, Calyx, or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
