Role:
The Mortgage Loan Servicer will be knowledgeable areas of loan servicing, including collecting and applying payments, analyzing escrows, core Horizon knowledge and customer service.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Requests, verifies and maintains insurance and tax information for all serviced mortgage loans and escrow files.
- Performs the post-closing responsibilities for all new, refinanced, renewed or modified loan requests.
- Prepares all Servicing and post-closing documents in compliance with internal and external banking guidelines.
- Evaluates new and annual escrow analyses for accuracy and compliance
- Responsible for contacting various vendors for taxes, insurance and flood insurance, etc. via phone or email.
- Reviews and analyzes various documents pertaining to servicing and other records to complete documentation preparation; advises branch loan assistants or mortgage loan officers of additional information or documents that may be required.
- Prepares and finalizes documentation for Servicing, funding and potential shipping.
- Monitors closed loan portfolios to ensure compliance with covenants and requirements of loan closing documents in servicing the loan.
- Performs Modification and payment processing, NFIP monitory, escrow processing, appraisal/evaluation reviews, and other regulatory duties as assigned.
- Prepares reports and correspondence for loan servicing as assigned by Mortgage Processing Supervisor, Director of Mortgage and/or Loan Operations Manager.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education and/or Experience.
- High school education or General Education Degree (GED).
- One to three years of banking experience preferred.
- Ability to apply bank regulations and compliance policies.
Interpersonal Skills
- Requires strong project organization and communications skills.
- Requires understanding of the financial services business.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work independently.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to sell bank products and services.

In an 8-hour day, the employee can expect to sit about 6 hours.
