Job Description

We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Closing Coordinator who is committed to contribute to the organization's profitability by reviewing all closing documentation prior to the closing date to ensure accuracy and compliance. To provide exceptional customer service by conducting business with integrity and in a highly ethical manner.

  • Will work to hold members accountable for the timely completion of documentation or steps in a process.

These skills will be used to:

  • Review all upcoming closings to ensure that closings happen in a timely manner. Begins working on loan file upon receipt of title documents from title company.
  • Update the loan origination system with data needed to prepare closing documents. Review title documentation and coordinate with title companies, and LO’s in preparation of preliminary closing disclosures, ensuring the closing disclosures are accurate, compliant, and sent on time.
  • Create the closing package and ensure that it gets sent to the title company promptly. Packages sent through Hybrid E-closing system.
  • Ensure the closing disclosures are compliant and accurate prior to Mortgage Loan Officers distributing the documents.
  • Analyze all closing files for various compliance, underwriting, and accuracy items prior to closing utilizing approved checklists. Manages the checklists to follow up on outstanding findings and ensures documents are corrected prior to the loan closing.
  • Maintain a tracking list of errors that were found during the process to assist in the evaluation of loan production Associates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Mortgage industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
