First Credit Union is a community owned financial institution. When your customers are your shareholders, it changes the way you run your business. We don’t ever have to choose between what’s best for our business, what’s best for our community, or what’s best for our members; they are one and the same. This is the cooperative advantage.

Established in 1939, First Credit Union is a values-based financial cooperative operating on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the K’òmoks, Klahoose, Qualicum, Tla’amin and Squamish Nations and serving the needs of community members in Courtenay, Cumberland, Powell River, Union Bay, Bowser, and on Bowen, Hornby, and Texada Islands.
